
Talya Ferro has just recently returned from a nine-month worldwide tour aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines M/S Song of Norway performing her one-woman show and starring in their production of The Cotton Club. Prior to that she was a principal performer in the Lawrence Welk resort theaters both in Branson, MO and Escondido, CA. She can currently be seen in Nicolas Kazan's latest film Dream Lover. She co-starred with Ben Vereen in Sabine (the Netherlands entry in the Cannes Film Festival), as well as Sparkle with Irene Cara. She also appeared in Pathe's ÒDistant ShoresÓ. Her many television credits include Colombo, Murder She Wrote, Sea Quest, a regular role on HBO's First and Ten, a recurring role in Shaft, a starring role in Rendezvous Hotel their productions of Sal and De Obeah Mon. Los Angeles audiences will remember her as the romantic lead in Walk on the Wild Side, La Saraghena in Nine, and Nell in Ain't Misbehavin'. Her theatrical credits also include the national company of West Side Story in Toronto, Canada and San Juan, Puerto Rico. She created the role of Lydia in ICCC's now legendary production of Piano Bar. Talya Ferro has performed her One-Woman Show in the major venues of every continent on the globe and is proud of several royal command performances. She has been a supporting act for Redd Foxx, Joan Rivers, Lou Rawls, Armando Manzanero, and other well-known international artists the world over. Talya Ferro has been a special guest star on innumerable national and international television shows. These include multiple appearances on the Mike Douglas Show, the Steve Allen Show, Sabado Gigante, and in addition, she has sung for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show 38 times.
